While we were there, there were these knee-high drinking fountains all over the place that look like a lion with its head open, ready to bite the head off of an unsuspecting toddler. I tried every single one in the zoo, and none of them worked. I became enraged by the defiant lion fountain, and decided to tame it.
The horror!
Suddenly, out of nowhere comes the Salt Lake Marathon. A marathon, for those of you who don't know, comes from the greek Maratonaetus, which means "bunches of sweaty people trying to give themselves a heart attack in 26 miles or less". It sounded like a lot of fun to Angela's best friend Sara, so she gave it her best.
Alas, she survived the ordeal. Better luck next year Sara!
Sara, looking not dead.
And then around the corner walked Braza Grill. Actually, if it came to us it would have been way convenient. It's a Brazilian barbecue joint in Clearfield where we met my friend Sarah and her new husband from Florida. The food was great in my eyes, but too salty in Angela's eyes.
Unfortunately, this is probably why I thought it was so great.
Angela, ever the gold-digger.
After our feast, we decided to go back to Logan to hang out for a little bit. Sarah's brother Dallin decided it would be a good idea to break in a new card game he bought. It's called "Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot".
For redundancy's sake, here it is again.
If you have a thing for killing bunnies in comical ways, please do not play this game. I mean, that would be like taking your mom to an all-you-can-eat buffet: there would be casualties. This game is not only addictive, but the point of the game is to have killer bunnies kill other killer bunnies that are competing with said killer bunnies for the Magic Carrot. Did I mention there are killer bunnies?
There are also expansion decks to find more ways to kill other killer bunnies.
I've mused that they should have a Killer Baby Seals expansion deck, but that's another story for another time.
Enter the present. Today was the first day of May, which coincidentally follows the last day of April. But unlike your typical May, this morning I was greeted with Mother Nature telling me she hated me.
That's spelt S-N-O-W. I even had to scrape my windshield.
If you look really closely, you can see a Kona in the snow.
That was April and the first day of May, which the Romans called "May I".
How inquisitive!

Love the zoo, HATE the snow, and honestly killer bunnies has lost it's luster for me. We own the game as well as 6 expansion decks. Really I have no idea what we were thinking when we got this game. Bryce still is hardcore in love with the stupid thing. By the way if you ever want to enrage Dave Myers just ask him if he will play killer bunnies with you!
Your two are hysterical! Ang-I am soo excited that you stumbled onto our blog :) Life is great, we are halfway through dental school (yay!) how are you doing, what have you been up to? (Besides killer bunnies lol)
You two are so funny. I love to read your blog. I likes going to the zoo. We were thinking of trying out the Hogle Zoo in June. We look forward to seeing you guys.
So...that killer bunny game...hum...have you seen the movie Donnie Darko? or the movie Monty Python with their killer bunnies? Anyways, how can you not have fun with a game whose cover looks like that! Bring it on!
