Could-Have-Been Christmas Present

So, Joe and I were talking today, and he let me in on a little secret. He told me that when we decided to go out to CA for Christmas, he had to cancel an order that he had placed for my Christmas present. He told me that he ordered Brad Paisley concert tickets.

Now, if you know Joe very well, you'll know that not only does he hates country music but he's also cheap and consequently not very good a the whole gift-giving thing. I was so surprised and grateful for his thoughtfulness. When he told me that, I was in awe at how far he's come in that area since we were first married.

As I hugged him and told him thank you for my Christmas present, it came up that he had only ordered ONE ticket...yes, that's right. ONE. He was actually going to send me to the Delta Center all by my lonesome.

How thoughtful ; )

It was fun to tease him about it. He's the best....even with blunders like that. I'm a lucky girl.

That's really funny! Husbands are great and can do silly things without even realizing it.

I still think you got a 'keeper'. That is awesome that he is trying to think of great gifts for you. It's nice to know that your spouse pays attention to you and notices the things that you like and tries to get you something special. I definately didn't marry Bryce for his gift giving ability but he's still a keeper for other reasons. Life would be boring without husbands.
