Stuff and Our Dogs

Monday night for FHE, Joe and I tried out some new things. We love to try new things together. Our life is so boring that we need any kind of adventure we can get!! When we go grocery shopping, we’re always looking for one little fun thing to try that neither of us have had before. The first new thing was Licorice Ice Cream from Gossners’s

Looks pretty gross, doesn’t it? Oh, but it was so good. I’d never had Gossner’s ice cream before, and I have to say that it may be a new favorite.

After we had dinner and some ice cream, we headed over to my friend Emily’s house to play a little Nintendo Wii. Now, I’m not much of a video game player...or is it video gamer? At any rate, I don’t really like video games. But I LOVED playing Wii. It was so much fun! I’m pretty sure last night was the first time I’ve ever won at a video game EVER. I have to say that I am pretty much totally awesome at bowling. Joe, whom I would have expected to rock the Wii was actually pretty bad. I totally kicked his butt, and he was a sore loser just like he was when I beat him at Scrabble ;) (editor: it happened once!!!) (the other editor: see what I mean? Sore loser!)

I totally fell in love with the Wii. Emily had the console on loan from a friend who is trying to sell it for a pretty good deal, so Joe and I decided that we would buy it. Because it’s such a good deal, we can always sell it if we lose interest. Speaking of the supreme awesomeness of Wii, check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pzp8S_7yspM So funny!

And by popular request, we took some fun videos and pictures of our dogs. Sorry the lighting is so bad on some of these.

Kona will take every inch she can!!

We tortured Kona with baby clothes from the DI.
You can see that she isn't very happy about it.
I thought it was a good idea at the time. Now it just seems silly.

Sadie's Smile

Is that before or after the munchies?

Kona has this weird thing where she will lick the air we blow in her face. She's pretty good about not licking our faces which is good since she eats her own poop right after it comes out the shooter. Gross! I usually take extra precaution not to get a poopy dog lick by holding her back just in case she gets overly zealous.

Sadie has a lot of energy, which is expected since she is part beagle (a dog bred for bird hunting). Here she's trying to get Kona to play with her.

This video isn't too exciting, but you can see toward the end that Kona thinks she's boss. Really, she's the devil. Sadie goes along with it. I think next year we'll dress them up as an Angel and Devil.

We bought some candy bubbles at the store and weren't sure if the dogs would be afraid of them or love them. It turns out that both were true. You can see Kona's ears get all pointy proving that she really is the Devil.

But if the ears and the poop-eating thing aren't enough to prove that she's the devil, here's a little extra for ya...

Devil Dog!! ;)

Your dogs are so cute! Sorry about the whole shoe chewing, poo-eating thing. That's a sad sight to see!
Thanks for showing some pics of your puppies! They seem like they are pretty entertaining!

Sadie and Kona are so cute! Maddie went hysterical and made me play the video with the dogs & bubbles over and over. She was cracking up and kept saying: Wow-wows eat bubbles and laughed!!! It was so cute. Thanks for making her day. You're the best Auntie. Are you bringing the dogs when you come next week? By the way, we're excited to see you guys!

Scott and I played with a Wii for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it, too. We bought three of them and sold them on Ebay for more than we paid, but we wish we could have kept one for ourselves. Your dogs are adorable. I hope that we can get some dogs when we have a real house someday in the extremely far future:) For now, Hannah will just have to do:):):) Maran
